Frazer’s consultancy is about helping people make the most of their places and spaces. With decades of experience in architecture, design, and conservation, Frazer offers an expert perspective—but more importantly, he provides a friendly, open forum to explore ideas and plot an approach.

Sometimes, you just need someone to talk with—someone who will listen well, share insights, and help shape your ambitions. You may need support tackling a design challenge, have a nagging spatial issue, might be considering a new project, or just looking for advice on the creative process, Frazer is here to offer thoughtful guidance and informed discussion.

Professional Experience

​

Frazer’s career began showcasing design at Wallpaper magazine, in London, before transitioning to architecture with Hubert Jan Henket Architects in the Netherlands. Returning to the UK, he contributed to major projects with TPS Consult, Richard Murphy Architects, Oliver Chapman Architects, and RMJM/EMBT Scotland, playing a key role in the team behind the Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh. His recent work includes work with the United Nations, the British Council and an Urban Park design project with the Halo Trust in Iraq.

Frazer’s work has been exhibited at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in Edinburgh and has been the driving force behind several curated exhibitions, including:

Frazer has developed and delivered workshops across Singapore, Norway, the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands, focusing on architectural reuse, sustainable design, and interior architecture. Recent highlights include Master Classes in Interior Architecture in the Netherlands and workshops on design innovation and building reuse.

His academic journey saw him leading programs at Napier University, founding the Centre for Reuse and Recycling of Buildings (CRRB), and later serving as Founding Director of the Glasgow School of Art in Singapore. He has been a visiting professor at universities in Malaysia, Singapore, Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Publications and Professional Engagements

​

Frazer has co-edited books and published extensively on Design, Architecture, and Place. He is an active member of the Scottish Parliament Cross-Party Group on Architecture and the Built Environment and serves as Chairman of the Education Board at SBID.
